Polymer Coated Aluminum Sulfate

Plantacote Blue-Knight is a 100% controlled release Aluminum Sulfate, designed to be used primarily as soil amendment to enhance development of a pure blue color in the production of blue Hydrangeas. Plantacote’s unique polymer coating controls the release of both the Sulfur and Aluminum, thus reducing the need for multiple applications and insuring a safe steady release into the growing media. Controlling the release of Sulfur prevents fluctuations in soil pH which not only can affect nutrient availability, but also reduces the potential for Aluminum toxicity resulting from a dramatic drop in pH.
