Plantacote® NPK

The release mechanismPlantacote® NPK is a 100% coated controlled release fertilizer containing the macronutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Release time is controlled by a unique polymer coating process and the soil temperature. pH, substrate, salt content, microbial activity and the amount of irrigation water do not affect nutrient release. The stated release time of nutrients applies to an average substrate temperature of 70 ˚F. Higher temperatures accelerate the nutrient release (e.g. 80 ˚F approximately 7 months) lower temperatures delay it (i. e. 60 ˚F up to 9 months). The nutrients in Plantacote NPK start releasing approximately 7-10 days following application ensuring crop safety with minimal risk of salt stress, even after storage of premixed growing media for up to 3-4 weeks.
